Seattle Climate Action Coalition: Update for June 2024
Since forming in June of 2023, the Seafair Climate Action Coalition has been…active!
- Demonstrated at the Seafair airshow in August 2023.
- In early 2024, members of our coalition met with Seattle Parks department who issues the permit for the airshow.
- In May, met with the Seafair board of directors including the current chairperson
- Currently planning to meet with the City of Seattle to raise awareness at all levels of the climate impacts of the military airshow, particularly the Blue Angels.
What’s next, and how to get involved:
- Join us on August 3rd and 4th at Genessee Park. We’ll raise our collective voice for more reasonable entertainment for Seafair!
